Through Stillwater Partnership, we offer a selective hybrid publishing model for authors who want the credibility of a publisher alongside greater creative involvement. This path is designed for writers who want a professional team to bring their vision to life without the high barriers of traditional acquisition—and who value a true partnership with reasonable fees rather than paying thousands for someone else’s vision of their book.

In this shared-risk model, authors invest in the professional production services needed to bring their book to market in exchange for the Stillwater Story House brand, full distribution reach, and our professional house standards. We work closely with you to produce a retail-ready book, build a smart personalized release strategy, and provide significantly higher royalty potential than a traditional publishing arrangement.

Stillwater Studio

Professional services for independent authors and authors whose manuscripts are not quite ready for submission

Not every writer needs a publisher. Sometimes you simply need expert help from people who understand books, readers, and the realities of publishing.

Stillwater Studio offers professional author services without requiring use of the SSH imprint. You retain full ownership and publish under your own name or company.

Available services include manuscript assessments, editing, formatting, metadata setup, launch strategy, coaching, and marketing consultation.
